First check to see if the transmitter on the wall inside your garage still opens your garage door when pressed. Locate and eliminate the source of the rf interference. If the batteries in your transmitter are dead the transmitter won t be able to send a signal to your garage door to open. First check the sensor lights. When the garage door opener works intermittently the logic board may be experiencing radio frequency rf interference from nearby sources such as security lights ham radios and some electronics.

Clutter or obstructions that block the sensor are the first problems to look for if your door won t close or in extreme cases open at all.
